This was a very exciting and busy week in preschool! On Monday, we read more books about dinosaurs and started working on our Valentines Day bags. We also started a Valentine's Day project with Ms. Alexia where we got to paint on hearts using marbles! On Tuesday, we continued working on our two art projects and reading more fun dinosaur books, but our fun was cut short due to the impending snow storm! We came to school 2 hours late on Wednesday, but we had time to play outside in the freshly-fallen snow! We also started a new project where students made their own dinosaurs using different-sized circles, squares, rectangles, and triangles. Some students created real dinosaurs, like T-Rex's and pterodactyls, and others created and named their own dinosaurs! On Thursday, we celebrated Valentine's Day by passing out cards and treats in every friend's valentine bag! We also watched a YouTube read-aloud of a story called "How Do Dinosaurs Say I Love You" which was a perfect dinosaur/Valentine's Day combination! On Friday, we celebrated the 100th day of school! We talked about what 100 looks like and each student brought in 100 of a snack food to mix together in our 100th day trail mix! Next week will be February Break, but after break we will continue our dinosaur unit. Have a great break!
